The first perfect day

I do a lot of work sitting in one of three places, for each of two reasons:

1 - JavaNet Internet cafe

This place has been here for the better part of a decade.  I come here for the tea and coffee (both as drink and bean) along with the wireless.  It has comfy, overstuffed chairs and a large window looking on Exchange Street, serviced by a copper bar with tall chairs.

A great place to watch the world go by.

2 - Geo's Patisserie

I've known George ever since we did "Stellaluna" at the Children's Theatre.  A stunning London actress - RADA-trained - had flown over to help and she and Geo fell deliciously in love.  Of course it didn't last but he got a great recipe for Copenhagen Chocolate Cinnamon Cake and I got a good friend through her.

3 - The NorthStar Music Cafe

Up on the bottom of Munjoy Hill it also has comfy chairs and great salads and sandwiches.  We meet there for tango twice a month.

And so now I'm in the window of JavaNet, finishing the revisions on my website and getting this second post done.

I know at some point I'll hit my stride.  Right now, right this very minute it's lovely, still sunny, warm and bright.  Bright puffy clouds, interesting people trying not to be caught looking at you as they walk by on the street.  My reading glasses hide my watching of the passers-by.

I should try to finish this and get out and walk around.  Something may yet happen.
